Alabama's Death Row: Doyle Lee Hamm; Lynda Lyon Block/Executed;George Sibley/Executed

26th Feb 2018

Although I stopped corresponding with death row inmates in 2008 I still read up on some of the cases and today I found an article about the badly botched attempt at executing Doyle Hamm. It seems the man is a terminal cancer patient and so it seems he will be dying soon anyway, so why the rush to send him on his way?

Years ago I corresponded with Lynda Lyon/Block who was the last person to be executed in 'Yellow Mama'..Alabama's reknowned electric chair. I also corresponded with her husband, George Sibley, who was given the needle after she died.
While researching the case of Doyle Hamm I found a video about Lynda which I am linking to. She was a very interesting person and I missed her letters after she died.
Only God knows her heart and, after watching this video, I believe that both she and George had good ones even though they may have been rather controversial. I hope to meet them both in the next phase.
I also hope her son is doing well!

It seems that Doyle Hamm never really had a chance to become anything other than a criminal. There are many like him as I found out during my years of corresponding with American inmates.
I wish Doyle Hamm what he wishes himself and if he, by the Grace of our Creator and His Son, has found the way to redemption, then maybe he'll also make it into the Kingdom.

Indonesia’s Forest Burning Threatens Orangutans, Human Health

As a great fan of Marie Biscuits I would like to ask people to bypass these biscuits if they contain palm oi...l as a favour to our orangutans and the environment ♡
I also read today that palm oil is mandatory in bio-fuels and so am posting a link to an eye-opening video

Palm oil-deforestation for everyday products

Indonesia’s Forest Burning Threatens Orangutans, Human Health: The population of orangutans on Borneo—the largest Asian island and third largest in the world—has plummeted by half in 15 years as their habitat has been reduced by the palm oil and paper industries, according to findings to be published in the journal Current Biology.

James Bulger: Why Jon Venables' True Name Should Be Revealed

Although this case was and still is controversial, the fact is that pedophiles cannot be and will never be 'cured'! They may go into a form of 'remission' for a time but the urges remain and, because society is totally amoral worldwide due to liberalism and rejection of a moral Creator, the triggers that set the mind in motion are very easily found out in an uncontrolled cyberspace.
Pedophilia is a curse and those suffering from the condition always remain a risk to any and all innocent children. Perpetrators, once discovered, should never..as in never..be given another chance to inflict themselves on another child as long as they draw breath and the only way to prevent this is to reveal their identity and lock them up for life!

2018 Winter Olympic Games in Korea

9th February, 2018

Just watching the introduction to the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea as shown on TV
What an awsome show it is and, due to the joining up of all Korean participants from both north and south Korea under one Korean flag, one can but hope that this is a genuine move towards total reconciliation of this divided country in a very troubled world!
In this earthly life one has to take risks to succeed and to promote peace on earth and so 'kamsamnida' to Korea and may many other moves towards true reconciliation be made into the future.

Neil Aggett: The suspicious death of an anti-apartheid activist

27th Feb 2018

Two years ago I posted a comment on fb in relation to an article published by SAHO  regarding the suspicious 'suicide' in prison of ant-apartheid activist, Neil Aggett.
On 5th Feb 2018 I noticed that 20 people had 'liked' my comment and, since then, have even commented on it.

The question to ask still remains and that is...did Dr Aggett die in vain?
One comment to my fb comment is that he did indeed die in vain!

With all the turmoil going on in Africa today I would suggest to all Africans to stop fleeing the country of your birth and fight, as did Neil Aggett, for your right to a decent living!

The way I see it.. as a white, English speaking South African by birth who grew up under the apartheid regime of the time..the only way to bring about positive change to this battered continent is, first and foremost to denounce.. very loudly..corruption, tribalism and polygamy.

Once these three poisonous 'cultural' attributes are removed completely and the population of Africa starts to decrease, then social reform will kick in regarding education and a better way of life for all.

As a follower of Jesus Christ my prayers are with my fellow brethren in Africa and I know there are many of them.
Sadly the followers of Jesus Christ are being dreadfully persecuted in the world today but we need to remain faithful in spite of this because our True Leader promised that the 'gates of hell' would not prevail against the movement He started all those years ago!

South Africa is the key to harmony and well being in the whole of this awesome continent and so people of all races need to get past their grievances..which the corrupt leaders keep rehashing..and genuinely work together to re-make the country great for all. This is the way to go if we don't want Neil Aggett to have died for nothing!!
